Learn-to-Skate
The CCYH Learn-to-Skate program is for girls and boys from age 3 on up. Learn-to-Skate sessions are every Sunday morning, beginning early November through the end of February at the Middlesex School rink, Concord MA. Learn to skate will be run by Sharper Edge Skating school, providing your skater the highest quality instruction (https://www.sharperedgeskating.com/)
Learn-to-Play (L2P)
The CCYH Learn-to-Play (L2P) program is considered our "Hockey 101" program. Full hockey gear is required including a HECC approved helmet with cage. Most participants will have participated in our Learn-to-Skate program or another learn-to-skate program. The L2P program practices on Saturdays and Sundays from early November until the end of February at the Middlesex School. Practice sessions will focus on the basics of ice hockey. Included in the L2P registration fee is the annual in-house CCYH Beanpot competition in February 2025 at the Middlesex School. The L2P program is geared for boys and girls who were born between 1/1/2016 and 12/31/2019. L2P registration opens in September.
Hot Shots
The CCYH Hot Shot hockey program is our very own in-house non-checking league for players 8-15 yrs old. Our season consists of 14, or more, weeks of games and practices starting early November and running through the end of February. We will be playing games on Sundays and weekly practices on varying weekday evenings. Monthly schedules are issued in advance for planning purposes. Games and practices are held at the Middlesex School rink, Concord MA. Hot Shot registration opens in September and is limited to 75 registrants.
U8
Hockey players who were born between 1/1/2016 and 12/31/2017 will skate from September through April at Valley Sports, Concord MA. Note that some children born in 2018 may be eligible to play on the U8 team. This is an individual decision that families may want to make for their experienced player born in 2018. Included in the U8 registration fee is the annual in-house CCYH Beanpot competition in February 2025 at the Middlesex School. Evaluations are required in the spring for placement on a U8 team for the following season. Registration for evaluations opens in March.
U10
Hockey players who were born between 1/1/2014 and 12/31/2015 will skate from September through April at Valley Sports, Concord MA. Included in the registration fee is the annual in-house CCYH U10 Beanpot competition in February 2025 at the Middlesex School. Evaluations are required in the spring for placement on a U10 team for the following season. Registration for evaluations opens in March.
U12
Hockey players who were born between 1/1/2012 and 12/31/2013 will skate from September through April at Valley Sports, Concord MA. Included in the registration fee is the annual in-house CCYH U12 Beanpot competition in February 2025 at the Middlesex School. Evaluations are required in the spring for placement on a U12 team for the following season. Registration for evaluations opens in March.
U14
Hockey players who were born between 1/1/2010 and 12/31/2011 will skate from September through April at Valley Sports, Concord MA. Included in the registration fee is the annual in-house CCYH U14 Beanpot competition in February 2025 at the Middlesex School. Evaluations are required in the spring for placement on a U14 team for the following season. Registration for evaluations opens in March.
U16 / U18
This is a half-season (Sept - Nov) games only program for boys who are in 9th grade and above.
U10 ABCC Girls Full-Season
Open to girls ages of 9-10 (turning this age in 2024). This is a full season team starting in early September and running through April of 2025. Consists of 1-2 practices a week and 1 game on the weekends. Practices will be held at Valley Sports Arenas in Concord and Middlesex School in Concord. Players are from Concord, Carlisle, Acton, Boxborough, Sudbury, Maynard, Stow and other surrounding towns. Skill level for this team ranges from beginners to experienced hockey players.
